TOWN REPORTER© <br />TOWN OF PARADISE VALLEY <br />6401 EAST LINCOLN DRIVE <br />October 2001 Volume 32, Issue 2 <br />TOWN'S EMERGENCY <br />OPERATIONS PLAN <br />T he e vents of September 11 have affected commu- <br />nit ies worldwide. It is important that residents <br />know t he Town is prepared to protect the lives a nd prop - <br />erty o f its cit ize ns if necessary. In February of thi s year, <br />t he Town Co un c il adopted a co m pre he ns iv e Eme rge ncy <br />Operatio ns Plan (EOP). The Town 's updated EOP is a <br />joint effort between t he Town and the Maricopa Co unty <br />Department of Emergency Services . It supports the State <br />of Ar izona Emergency Response and Recovery Plan and <br />the Maricopa County Emergency Operations Plan , and <br />comp li es w ith Arizona Revised Statues Tit le 26, Chapter <br />2. The EOP represents a partners hi p of the County and <br />a ll 24 cit ies and towns in Maricopa County, each commu - <br />nity comm itted to assist others in need and to share re- <br />so urces needed in a n emerge ncy. <br />The plan pro vi des gu idance to Town departments, per- <br />sonnel and supporting agencies.
